Cremation services for Linda Annette Paulsen, 66, of Clinton, are being arranged by Lee Hometown Funeral Home.
Linda, born January 7, 1958, in Denver, Colorado, to Leon R. and Helen M. (Young) Lathrop, passed away peacefully at her home west of Clinton on September 1, 2024. She was raised in Denver and graduated from a small Baptist church school with four classmates.
On October 6, 1977, Linda married Jess Paulsen in Denver. Jess preceded her in death in February 2020.
From the age of 12, Linda worked alongside her father painting houses, a family tradition she continued for 30 years until his retirement. Known for their generosity, Linda and her father often reduced their fees for elderly clients in need.
Linda was an active member of the American Legion Women’s Auxiliary and had a deep passion for history. She loved participating in Living History reenactments, celebrating Halloween and Christmas, and exploring historical themes, especially those related to the 1800s. Her enthusiasm extended to big steam engines and her cherished collection of old books.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Jess. Linda is survived by her daughter Jinny and son-in-law John Florer of Clinton, and her beloved grandchildren Lance, Lillie, and Blake Teeter of Clinton; Kevin Grant, Raelea and Will Lampshire, Shanna and Mikey Taylor, and Taylor and Ashley Gorley, all of Clinton. She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren, with two more on the way.
Linda will be remembered for her kind heart, unwavering dedication to her family, and her vibrant spirit.
