Avery Ryan Short

Avery Ryan Short, age 1, of Weatherford, Oklahoma, passed away Friday, June 28, 2024 in Weatherford, Oklahoma. 

Avery was born June 12, 2023 in Yukon, Oklahoma, a daughter of Clay Short and Hailey Rodriguez. Avery enjoyed being around friends and family, Playing with her brother and sister, loved giving hugs and kisses.  She would do anything she could to put a smile on your face.

Avery was preceded in death by Great Grandma Brenda Gail Cover, Great grandpa Robert Short, great grandparents Gene and Gay Fite, her cousin Eastyn Short, and her great aunt Dana Reinschmiedt. 

She is survived by her parents Clay and Hailey, of the home, her grandparents Jodi and Ruben Munoz of Weatherford, grandparents Zac and Kenzie Rodriguez of Durant, Ok., grandparents Eric and Jennifer Short of Weatherford, and grandma Keesha Short also of Weatherford, her sister Everly Short, her brother Wyatt Short, great grandparents Eugene and Sandy Roach, great grandpa Zacarias Sr. Rodriguez,  great-great grandparents Dorothy Roach of Okeene, Ok., Rita and Arnulfo Camarillo, and Rhonda and Doug Dorrell,  and numerous other relatives and family friends.

Visitation will be at the funeral home. Service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday, July 5, 2024, at the First Baptist Church of Weatherford with Rev. Earl Stephenson officiating. Burial will follow at Weatherford Cemetery in Weatherford under the direction of the Lee Hometown Funeral Home.
