Anthony David Johnson, a beloved husband, father, and friend, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, October 4, 2024, at the age of 27. He was born on November 7, 1996, at Tinker Air Force Base in Del City, Oklahoma, to Gary Stephen Johnson and Michele Denise Stewart.
Raised in Del City, Anthony attended Del City and Putnam City High Schools. He married his high school sweetheart, Tandra Christine Miller, in 2014. That same year, he began his career as a home health aide and moved to Clinton, where he lived for the rest of his life. He was an active member of the EDGE Church in Clinton and attended the Living Waters Church in Burns Flat.
Anthony had a passion for video games, particularly Call of Duty (Zombie Edition), and loved Christian music. He enjoyed playing pool, going to BINGO with his mom, playing basketball with his children, and any activity that brought joy to his family. A devoted father, he often entertained his kids with his spirited attempts to sing like Eminem.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Makaydon Johnson; father-in-law, Jerry Miller; maternal grandparents, Bobbie D. and Sylvia Stewart; biological grandmother, B.J. Whetstone; stepfather, James Montagna; uncle, Ronald Stewart; and grandmother, Sharon K. Blicha.
Anthony is survived by his wife, Tandra, of the home; his mother, Michele Stewart, of Midwest City; his sons, Keeton Johnson, James Johnson, and Leighton Anthony Johnson; his daughters, Kirsten Denae Johnson and Kaslynn Joan Johnson; his brothers, Jeffery Johnson of Muskogee, Christopher Johnson of Shawnee, and Taylor Johnson of Tecumseh; and sister-in-law, Shaina Lyons of Clinton, and Louis and Sharla Boeckmann.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, October 14, 2024, in the Hyman Memorial Chapel, with Rev. Dwight Shepherd officiating. Burial will follow at North Burns Cemetery, located south of Burns Flat. Arrangements are under the care of Lee Hometown Funeral Home.
